For centuries, the sun has been very important and useful to man. The sun is said to be the source of life. All living things, great and small, need the sun in order to survive. But as the years pass by, we do not depend on sun for life alone. We also use it to get solar power energy.

During the 1400s, DaVinci has foreseen the use of solar energy with his prediction that the world will be transformed by solar industrialization. True enough, it is widely used nowadays to produce heat and electricity. Almost anything can run on solar power; calculators, laptops, cooking stoves and even cars!

These machines can run on solar power through the solar power system. It is a system composed of solar panels, an electric inverter and a battery. The solar panels convert the sunlight to electricity. The electricity will then pass through an electric inverter that would change its current. After that, the electricity produced can now be used to run appliances, transportation and give houses electricity. The battery is helpful for storing unused energy for future use.

Solar power energy gives us an abundant supply of raw energy waiting to be used that could be more than enough for everyone’s need. In fact, more sunlight falls on earth in an hour than what is actually used by the whole population in a whole year. But the best thing is: you can have it wherever you are for free.

This energy is so useful that it is now acknowledged worldwide. Different sectors of the society participate in the drive for going solar through their own means. The government has incentive programs to promote the use of solar energy. Private companies use and sell solar products that would help utilize this energy. Environment organizations are pushing for its use so we can be more environment friendly. People should not only consider but practically use solar energy.   GP
