Energy Resources: Two Basic Kinds of Home Panels Solar Power
In this time of crisis and rapidly depleting supply of natural resources, people surely need a new way to generate clean and renewable electricity. Among the most popular alternative sources of energy these days are the solar panels. Solar panels are effective means of generating electricity for appliances and for other purposes at the average home. Basically, there are two main kinds of home panels “solar power” that most people use these days – solar electricity panels and solar hot water panels.
Solar Electricity Panels
The solar electricity panels are also often referred to as “photovoltaic cells”. These are perfect for use at homes located at remote areas where electricity is vital but setting up high voltage cable systems is not possible. A particular application of the solar electricity panels are those which are used by satellites. Satellites are vital for outer space monitoring and exploring but since it is virtually impossible to put up cables that extend to earth, satellites use solar electricity panels that allow them to capture energy from the sun’s rays and convert in into electricity for the equipment.
